2011年1月結成。振付・演出・作詞など総合プロデュースを行うHinkが率いる、トゥシューズを履いたバレエエンターテインメントカンパニー。
敷居の高いイメージのあるクラシックバレエと、カンパニーの生み出す「もう一つの世界＝プラチナステラ」を描いた独自の音楽を融合。
脚本から手掛けたミュージカルの上演、ライブ公演、他アーティストの振付提供、ダンサーとしても活躍する変幻自在のアーティスト集団。
おとぎ話の世界に迷い込んだようなその演出とパフォーマンスは「観る音楽」と謳われている。国内公演の他、タイやシンガポール、アメリカなどの海外でのジャパンカルチャーイベントにも多数出演し、国内外から注目されている。
Formed in January 2011, Colorpointe is a dance & vocal group unlike any other!
The ballet-themed group merges inspired choreography, striking fashion, and a unique baroque infused pop/rock
soundtrack to create what they call ‘watching music.’ More than just dancers, more than just vocalists,
Colorpointe present hybrid entertainment distinguishing them from their contemporaries in Jpop music
and from other traditional dance companies.
The catchy yet mature music and emotional yet technical choreography combine to tell elaborate stories and ignite the imagination. Led by visionary choreographer, director, and lyricist HINK, Colorpointe has performed across Japan and grown their international appeal performing in many Japanese cultural events across Asia, Europe, and the UnitedStates.
The group’s international performances have been on main stages of massive festivals such as C3 CHARA EXPO 2016 and SJ50 Matsuri in Singapore, Japanexpo Tailand in Bangkok, and conventions such as Anime Matsuri 2018 in Houston, Texas and XXIV Salón del Manga de Barcelona.
A testament to their dedication to their art, Colorpointe took their performance from the stage to the
internet and participated in online events during the pandemic such as London’s Hyper Japan “Online
Hyper Show” in 2021. That same year, Colorpointe was recognized as an international arts ambassador
for the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
In Japan, the group has also continued showcasing their works everywhere from small intimate venues to large nationally known stages such as EX Theatre Roppongi and Zepp Tokyo. Whether collaborating with other artists, headlining their own concerts, or showcasing Japanese creativity and artistry to the world, Colorpointe is an entertainment experience not to be missed.
Colorpointe has taken the next step in growing an international audience and has signed a deal with
US/UK label Setsuzoku Records. Their first international album Medically Baroque is out now on CD and
digital.
